There is something wonderfully windswept about this atmospheric card. A flock of birds sweeps across the sky while a solitary tree stands among the long grasses below, capturing one of those fleeting countryside moments that makes you stop and look twice.

The artwork is by highly collectable Mid Wales printmaker Ian Phillips, whose work begins with drawings made while walking through landscapes full of colour, pattern and drama. Influenced by Japanese printmaking, Ian uses reduction linocuts, multi block lino and woodcuts to create richly textured scenes with bold lines and a beautiful sense of movement. Silver Birch Cards has been publishing his work since 2005, and it is not difficult to see why people keep returning to it.

Blank inside, the card can become a birthday card, a thoughtful note, a thank you or simply a little piece of art sent through the post. The birds are already on their way somewhere. You only need to decide who the card is flying to.

Made from FSC certified card, it comes with an FSC envelope and is neatly held together with a paper band. No plastic here.
