A cluster of brilliant red fly agaric rises from the woodland floor, surrounded by delicate leaves, berries and curling stems. Against the deep charcoal background, every white spot and fine gill stands out beautifully, while a tiny woodland visitor has found the perfect mushroom cap from which to survey the scene.

The artwork is by North Wales nature and wildlife artist Claire Tuxworth. Her paintings begin with walks through Welsh woodlands, where she searches for the birds, plants, fungi and hidden details that make each season special. Claire then returns to her studio to paint her discoveries in traditional gouache, creating carefully balanced designs with an enchanting storybook quality.

Blank inside, this card is ready for autumn birthdays, thoughtful messages, magical hellos or anyone who becomes unreasonably excited when the first mushrooms appear. We consider that a perfectly sensible response.

Measuring approximately 12.5 × 18cm, it is made from FSC certified card and comes with an FSC envelope. The card and envelope are neatly held together with a paper shoulder band.
