These sunflowers have not come to stand quietly in a vase. Bold golden petals tumble through deep green leaves, filling the card with colour, movement and the sort of cheerfulness that refuses to be ignored.

The artwork is by printmaker Elina Adrshina, who works in the wonderfully hands on medium of linocut. Her original sunflower print was created using the reduction method, with nine layers of colour carefully cut and printed one after another. It is a patient and precise process, although the finished result feels gloriously free and full of life.

Blank inside, the card is ready for birthdays, thank you messages, celebrations, words of encouragement or a bright hello sent for no reason beyond making someone smile. It is rather difficult to have a gloomy day when this many sunflowers arrive through the letterbox.

Measuring 14 × 17cm, it is made from FSC certified card and comes with an FSC envelope. The card and envelope are neatly held together with a paper shoulder band.
