This necklace is made by a small association of women in Pelotas, Brazil, who live on the shores of Lake Lagoa dos Patos. The local fishermen use shrimp nets which last about 5/6 years, and then must be thrown away. These creative women have turned them to another use. Very unusual and a great example of upcycling!
